Early life of Rohit Sharma: -

Rohit Sharma was born on 30 April 1987 in Nagpur, Maharashtra. His mother's name is Purnima Sharma and father's name is Gurunath Sharma. His father worked as a caretaker in a transport farm storehouse. His father's income was low, so his grandfather and uncle encouraged Rohit Sharma to play cricket. He joined the cricket camp in 1999 with the help of his uncle. His cricket coach was Dinesh Lad. He asked Rohit Sharma to change his school and take admission in Swami Vivekananda International School. Dinesh Lad was a coach at Swami Vivekananda International School. The series was Sachin Tendulkar's Farewell series. He scored 177 runs in his debut match. The score was the second-highest score after Shikhar Dhawan in his debut match. In the second Test match of the same series, Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 111 at his home ground Wankhede Stadium. Rohit Sharma dropped out of the team due to poor performance in 2017-18.
