AR Rahman is a musician who sings songs in Indian films. He was born on 6 January 1967 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu state. The full name of AR Rahman is Allah Rakha Rahman. He mostly sings music for Hindi and Tamil films. His name at birth was "Arunachalam Shekhar Dilip Kumar Mudaliar". He was born in Chennai into a Hindu family. life of AR Rahman: -
AR Rahman was interested in music from the beginning. He was very fond of music since birth. He used to play keyboards in his studio with his father. His father Rajagopal Kulasekhar himself was a composer in Tamil and Malayalam films. AR Rahman inherited music from his father. He received music education from his mentor Dhanraj. He played keyboard with his friend for the Rahman band Roots since childhood. He has also worked for Raja Band. AR Rahman played keyboards (synthesizer), Piyani, guitar and harmonium. He was only 9 when his father died. After the father's death, an economic crisis struck the family. So he took care of the family by renting his father's equipment. To convert the family from economic crisis, he accepted the religion of Islam. His most talented bands were seen working in the group. He received a scholarship from Trinity College of Music, London, from which he obtained a degree in Western classical music from the college. Later he started recording his own music.
