January 1967 in a Muslim family in Jaipur. Irrfan Khan was initially interested
in cricket. Hence Irfan Khan participated in many cricket tournaments. Irrfan
Khan's parents Sayeeda Begum and Sahabzade Yaseen Ali Khan immigrated from
Khajuria village in Tonk district and settled in Jaipur. Irfan Khan was born in
Jaipur itself. Irfan Khan's father used to do tire business in Tonk district.
Irfan Khan used to play cricket with friend Satish Sharma due to his interest
in cricket since childhood. Irrfan Khan and Satish Sharma played for the CK
Naidu tournament. Irfan Khan was selected for India's first-class cricket among
players under 23 years. Irfan Khan could not attend this tournament due to lack
of funds. After this, Irfan Khan moved to New Delhi after completing his
master's degree. In 1984, Irrfan Khan enrolled in "National School of Drama"
(NSD). Irfan Khan started his acting studies from NSD.

Khan detected an endocrine tumor (neuroendocrine tumor) and went to the UK for
treatment. A year later, Irfan Khan was admitted to a Mumbai hospital due to a
colon infection. Irrfan Khan had endocrine cancer. Irfan Khan was admitted to
Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai due to this cancer. But he died on 29 April 2020
due to colon cancer.
