Rajnath Singh is an Indian politician who contests on behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Rajnath Singh is also currently the Defense Minister of India. Rajnath Singh was also the Home Minister of India during the last time of the Modi government. He was born on 10 July 1951. Rajnath Singh is a successful and influential figure in Indian politics. Rajnath Singh has also been the former president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has achieved many achievements in his political career. Rajnath Singh has been in power from a minister to the Chief Minister of the state. Rajnath Singh, who started his political career as a district president, has gone on to become the chief minister in Indian politics. In 1975, Rajnath Singh became District President at the age of 24 years. After this, he gave his full dedication in politics. He was continuously involved in political activities. In 1977 Rajnath Singh was elected a member of the Legislative Assembly from Mirzapur. He then became the state president of the BJP Youth Wing in 1984. He was eventually elected as the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party in 1988. Rajnath Singh started his political career in the state of Uttar Pradesh. In 1991, Rajnath Singh was elected the education minister of the state by the Uttar Pradesh government. It was during his tenure as Education Minister that he became popular among the people. While the Minister of Education, he emphasized the Anti Coping Act 1992. Rajnath Singh also became the Chief Minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh after the education minister. After this he was elected to the Rajya Sabha. Rajnath Singh was also a cabinet minister during the tenure of Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government.



Early life of Rajnath Singh: -

Rajnath Singh was born in 1951 in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He spent his childhood in Bhabhor village of Chandauli district. It was here that Rajnath Singh was born. His father was a farmer who lived his life by farming. Rajnath Singh received his secondary and higher secondary school education in the schools of Uttar Pradesh itself. After completion of secondary education, he enrolled in Gorakhpur University. He received his master's degree in Physics from Gorakhpur University. Rajnath Singh joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at a very young age. Rajnath Singh joined RSS in 1964 at the age of 13 and started participating in his activities and programs. After this, he went on entering politics. In 1974, he was elected Secretary of the Bharatiya Jan Sangh from Mirzapur and continued to work for the Bharatiya Janata Party. Later, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and made his career in politics by contesting elections from Uttar Pradesh Assembly.

Rajnath Singh started his political career as District President in the year 1975. In the year 1975, he became the District President of Jan Sangh at the age of 24 years. Rajnath Singh was involved in political activities and campaigns since his early life. At the age of 13, he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). In 1974 Rajnath Singh was elected Secretary of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. In this way, he gradually emerged in his political career. Rajnath Singh was elected as a member of the Mirzapur Legislative Assembly in 1977. In 1988, Rajnath Singh was elected the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In his early political career, Rajnath Singh was elected to the post of minister, secretary and several presidents. In 1991, Rajnath Singh was elected Education Minister on behalf of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. He did many reformative works during his tenure as Education Minister. Rajnath Singh became Union Cabinet Minister in 1999. 1. Union Agriculture Minister: -

Rajnath Singh was Union Agriculture Minister of India during the tenure of Atal Bihari Bajpai's government till 2003-04. Rajnath Singh took appropriate steps for the development of the agricultural sector while being the Minister of Agriculture. During the tenure of the NDA government, Rajnath Singh developed food processing in volatile areas. Rajnath Singh worked on many projects during his tenure. He developed the agriculture sector by creating projects like Farm Income Insurance Scheme and Kisan Call. Rajnath Singh established a Farmer Commission by taking an agricultural loan.


2. Union Home Minister: -

Rajnath Singh was the Home Minister of India in the year 2014. Rajnath Singh has been the Home Minister for five to five years during Narendra Modi's tenure. During his tenure as Home Minister, Rajnath Singh played a mediating role between police and agitators at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). In February 2016, a supporter of the JNU incident was detected. Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed was accused of being connected to the JNU incident. Launched "Bharat Ke Veer" web portal with Akshay Kumar on 9 April 2017, in which welfare measures were taken for the families of the martyrs. In 2016, he claimed that during his tenure, infiltration cases from Pakistan had reduced by 52%. Rajnath Singh launched India's Veer Anthem film stars Akshay Kumar and Kiran Reju, along with Hansraj Ahir, on 20 January 2018. Rajnath Singh went to the CRPF camp of the Bastaria battalion in Chhattisgarh during his tenure. Here he visited the parade of 241 Bastaria Battalion of CRPF.


3. Union Defense Minister:-

Rajnath Singh became the Defense Minister of India in the year 2019. He was made the Home Minister for the first time in two consecutive Prime Ministers of Narendra Modi. In the year 2019, he was made the Defense Minister among the Union Cabinet Ministers of Modi Government. Rajnath Singh was sworn in as the Defense Minister of India on 31 May 2019.


4. President of Bharatiya Janata Party BJP:-

Rajnath Singh became the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on 31 December 2005 and remained in the post for 5 years. After the 2004 elections, when the BJP party gave its power. After that he had to sit in opposition. At the same time, LK Advani resigned from the party. During his tenure, the party gave more importance to the Hindutva ideology. He assured to build Ram temple at Ayodhya at all costs. In May 2009, Rajnath Singh was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) from Ghaziabad. It was during the tenure of Rajnath Singh that Article 370 was discussed in 2013. In 2013, Nitin Gadkari resigned from the post of party president due to corruption charge and Rajnath Singh was again elected the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
