Mayawati is an Indian politician who has been the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Mayawati contests from Uttar Pradesh assembly constituency. He was born on 15 January 1956. Mayawati has been the Chief Minister of UP time. Mayawati is also the national president of the Bahujan Samaj Party. As Chief Minister, he focused on improving the condition of the people of Bahujan, Muslims, schedule tribes and schedule cast in Uttar Pradesh (UP). Mayawati contested for the first time in 1984. In 1989, she was elected Member of Parliament for the first time. Mayawati uplifted her political career during the tenure of PV Narasimha Rao, former Prime Minister of India. When the Bahujan Samaj Party was founded by Kanshi Ram in 1984, Kashi Ram included Mayawati as members of his team. Mayawati became the female chief minister of the first schedule cast. In 1993, Kanshi Ram formed an alliance with the Samajwadi Party. Thus, in the year 1995, Mayawati was elected as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. During his tenure, he laid emphasis on improving the condition of the people of the backward classes, minority communities and Dalits. Mayawati proved to be an icon for the people of the Dalit community. That is why the people of Dalit community started calling Mayawati as sister. Mayawati resigned from the post of party president due to losing the 2012 assembly elections. Mayawati was then elected as a member of the Rajya Sabha.

was born in 1956 in New Delhi. His father was a post office worker. Mayawati
was from a poor family. His father had sent his sons to study in private school
but taught daughters in government school. After completing her B.Ed in 1976,
Mayawati started studying IAS as a teacher. But in 1977, when the founder of
Bahujan Samaj Party Kashiram met Mayawati's family, Mayawati's life started a
new beginning. Kashiram told Mayawati that I can make you a very big leader. In
1983, he received honors from Delhi University during his LLB studies. When the
Bahujan Samaj Party was founded in 1984, Mayawati was a member of that team.
With the efforts of Kashiram, Mayawati made her career in politics. After this,
in 1989, she became the first parliamentary member. Mayawati continued to
progress in her political career. In 1995, she was elected Chief Minister of
Uttar Pradesh for the first time. Thus Mayawati became the Chief Minister of
Uttar Pradesh even through a poor Dalit family. Even during these times, the
situation of Dalit and minority people was not so good. But Mayawati achieved
this position with her effort and courage. Later, he insisted on improving the
condition of the people of minority and dalit communities.

started her political career in 1977. Bahujan Samaj Party founder Kanshi Ram
turned political when he met Mayawati's family in 1977. Kashi Ram founded
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in 1984, influenced by the personalities of Dr.
Bhimrao Ambedkar. In the BSP party, the emphasis was on improving the status of
society in the schedule cast, schedule tribes and other lower caste
communities. Mayawati supported the reservation. He said that reservation
should be implemented in the government and private sectors. Mayawati said that
reservation will help improve the condition of backward classes. In the first
election campaign of Bahujan Samaj Party, Mayawati contested from different
regions in the Lok Sabha elections. Mayawati contested from Kairana seat in
1984, Bijnor seat in 1985 and Haridwar seat in 1987. Mayawati became a Lok
Sabha member in 1989 by winning elections for the first time from Bijnor.
Mayawati then worked with Masood Ahmed to win the party. Yet the party won only
3 seats in 1989 and only 2 seats in the 1991 national election. Mayawati was
later elected as a member of the Rajya Sabha. Mayawati was first elected to the
Rajya Sabha in 1994. Thus, Mayawati's political progress continued. In 1995,
Mayawati became the Chief of BSP. In 1995, Mayawati became the youngest Chief
Minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh. Mayawati is also the first woman Chief
Minister of Dalits in Indian political history. Mayawati has been the Chief
Minister of Uttar Pradesh four times so far in her political career. He first
obtained the post of Chief Minister in 1995. She later became the Chief
Minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh in 1997, 2002 and also in 2007. Mayawati
had become popular in Uttar Pradesh at that time, like the present Prime
Minister of India, Narendra Modi (as Prime Minister). After this, the new Chief
Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath also attacked the people of Uttar
Pradesh with Hindutva politics. It was only during Yogi Adityanath's chief
minister that the Babri-Masjid dispute ended and the Ram temple was built.

Minister's tenure. His government enacted laws and rules to resolve Ayodhya
matters. He enacted a stringent law against the rapists during his tenure.
During his tenure many big criminals and mafia people had to go to jail. During
the tenure of Mayawati, there was tremendous growth and development in the
state of Uttar Pradesh, from economic development to peace. During his tenure,
the GDP of the state of Uttar Pradesh reached the highest level and criminal
activities were greatly reduced.
Mayawati
first became the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 1995. During his first time
as Chief Minister, he approved the creation of two new districts. During his
tenure two new districts, namely Udham Singh Nagar and Ambedkar Nagar, were
created. Mayawati was the chief minister for only a few days at first.
After
this, Mayawati became the Chief Minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh for the
second time in 1997. This time too, Mayawati is chief minister only for six
months. Mayawati assumed the post of Chief Minister on 21 March 1997 and
resigned on 30 September 1997. During this tenure, the Mayawati government
created six new districts. Three new districts, namely Gautam Budh Nagar from
Ghaziabad, Kosambai from Allahabad district and Jyotiba Phule Nagar from
Moradabad were created. In May 1997, Mahamaya Nagar from Aligarh district and
Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Nagar district from Banda district were created.
Mayawati instituted the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Award and established Ambedkar 100
Statue in Lucknow, Kanpur and Allahabad. Mayawati became the Chief Minister of
Uttar Pradesh in 2002 for the third time.
